Welcoming the New Year: A message from our CEO.

As we approach the close of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the tremendous progress we’ve made together in 2024 and to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support of Acadia St. Landry Hospital.

This year has been a milestone for us in many ways, and I’m proud to share some of our accomplishments:

  • We celebrated the opening of our new primary care clinic, The Point Primary Care, extending access to quality healthcare for families in our community.
  • We welcomed two exceptional physicians to the ASLH team, Dr. Jacob Clement and Dr. Carrie Guidry, and a highly skilled nurse practitioner, Gwen Leger, ensuring you have access to more specialized and compassionate care close to home.
  • We launched full-time ultrasound and bone density services, bringing advanced diagnostic capabilities to our hospital.
  • In partnership with the American Lung Association, we began offering life-saving cancer screenings to support early detection and better outcomes.
  • We introduced a worksite wellness program to encourage healthier lifestyles for local businesses and their employees.
  • We established the Memories Matter Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group, providing guidance and compassion for families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s care.
  • We partnered with Genesis Behavioral Health to expand mental health services and address a critical need in our community.
  • Earned the honor of being voted #1 in hospitals for the 2024 Acadiana’s Choice Awards.
  • Our participation in numerous community events reinforced our strong ties to Church Point and the surrounding areas.

These achievements reflect our mission to provide excellent healthcare and demonstrate our investment in Small Town, Big Care. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of Church Point and surrounding communities. You inspire us daily to do more and be better for those we serve.

As we look ahead to 2025, I’m filled with optimism and excitement. We have incredibly ambitious plans to enhance our services, continue recruiting top-tier healthcare professionals, and further expand access to the care you deserve. Together, we can ensure that Acadia St. Landry Hospital remains a cornerstone of health and healing for generations to come.

Thank you for trusting us with your care and for being an integral part of our journey. May this holiday season bring you and your family peace, joy, and good health. Here’s to a bright and prosperous new year for all!

With gratitude,
Michael J. LeJeune, CEO
